Na terça de manhã, o Prêmio Tony nomeações foram anunciadas e alguns nomes familiares estavam na lista de homenageados. Neil Patrick Harris, Tony Shalhoub e Bryan Cranston estão todos celebrando hoje.
Harris foi escolhido como melhor ator em um musical para seu papel dobrador de gênero no Edwiges e a polegada furiosa. Shalhoub e Cranston competem entre si na categoria Melhor Performance de um Ator em um Papel Principal em uma Peça. Shalhoub estrela em Ato Um e o anterior Liberando o mal ator estrela em Todo o caminho.
Outros rostos familiares indicados incluem Damas de honra estrela Chris O’Dowd para De ratos e homens, Idina Menzel por seu papel principal no musical Se então, Bunheads
O que é interessante sobre as indicações de hoje é quantos nomes foram deixados de fora da lista. James Franco, Denzel Washington, Michelle Williams, Daniel Radcliffe e Zach Braff foram algumas das grandes estrelas que não receberam um aceno de cabeça. Adicionar Zachary Quinto, Michael C. Hall, Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart e Rachel Weisz para aqueles que foram desprezados. É claro que a comunidade da Broadway não é influenciada pelos pesos pesados de Hollywood.
o Tony Awards será transmitido na CBS em 8 de junho no Radio City Music Hall. Hugh Jackman é o apresentador do programa deste ano.
